Summary

The article discusses the features of the theory and practice of circular economics, which is being developed in modern conditions. The author notes that at the present stage, the paradigm of the cyclical economy includes a wide range of strategies covering the holistic transformation of business, increasing the share of renewable and secondary resources or their replacement, digitalization of business, the introduction of Industry 4.0 plans, as well as the adoption of other production-consumption models moving from the current model of conventional business to a circular economy, such as the product-service system. However, since the transition to a cyclical economy is not guaranteed at all, the production-consumption system should include the ability to adapt and positively transform when necessary.
