Summary

The article discusses effective exercises for the development of lexical competence in teaching German. The article analyzes the features of the lexical system of the German language, as well as the main methodological approaches to the formation of lexical skills. Special attention is paid to game, associative and contextual exercises as the most effective means of mastering vocabulary. Examples of exercises aimed at developing speaking skills and the active use of lexical units in speech are given. The necessity of an integrated approach, including the integration of vocabulary with grammar and other types of speech activity, is substantiated. The results of the study show that the use of a variety of teaching methods helps to increase students' motivation and the effectiveness of mastering lexical material.
