Liposomal technologies are used in pharmaceuticals and nutraceuticals to increase the bioavailability of vitamins and other bioactive substances. Liposomes are phospholipid capsules that protect active ingredients from destruction in the gastrointestinal tract and ensure more efficient absorption and delivery to cells. Due to their structure, they can encapsulate both water-soluble and fat-soluble substances. The size and structure of liposomes affect the rate of release of substances and the duration of action. The use of liposomes increases the effectiveness of supplements, reduces the loss of active substances and minimises side effects.
